"We wanted bedroom furniture that looked original to
the house".

The design for this
room began with the original panelling inside the windows. The clients
specified that they wanted the fitted bedroom furniture to look like it was
original to the house.
We therefore made
a note of the panelling detail and used this design to create the panels on the
doors.
The wardrobes were built in from
floor to ceiling, utilising the whole space. Ceiling coving was used to finish
the top of the wardrobes and matched the rest of the room.
A radiator was positioned beneath the window and although the
clients still wanted to use it, they didn't want to see it. So they
commissioned us to make a window seat with a fleur De L'ise centre panel to
conceal the radiator. The front panel is removable so that the radiator can be
serviced when necessary.
With the blue
cushions of the seat and matching blind they frame the window beautifully,
which provides stunning views of the Saddleworth hills. |
