Ash Shaker Style
Kitchen
A
traditional style kitchen was chosen for this handmade kitchen in Mossley. The
simple shaker style kitchen was combined with a freestanding dresser and pantry
cabinet, all being made from a combination of Solid and veneered
Ash.
Replacing a kitchen is never an easy task but when the whole
room needs a complete overhaul it can be even trickier. With all this work to
be done, the family wanted to find a company who could do it all for them and
project manage it. After visiting our showroom, they were thrilled to discover
we could do just that.
Solid Ash was the
chosen material for this handmade kitchen, as they wanted a natural timber but
it was essential to keep it light. Undecided on which granite to choose, we
arranged for them to visit our supplier in Cheshire. Armed with a sample piece
of Ash they spent time looking at what was available and picked their own
slab.
Storage was a priority and they'd
loved the pantry cabinet that we have on display in our showroom and were
delighted that we were able to incorporate one into their design. With
adjustable shelves, bread and pasta drawers and carefully designed racks that
put the back of the doors to good use, it provides a copious amount of
storage.
The slim dresser to the end was
added to the scheme a little later and provided a place for glasses and
additional storage. Because of the addition of the dresser, it was decided to
make the dining table extendable as they didn't need to seat 6 on a daily basis
and it would allow them more room to move around the kitchen when the table was
in its closed position.
With a new
ceiling and lighting, freshly plastered and decorated walls and new Karndean
flooring in Sahara from the Knight Tile range the kitchen was complete and
works perfectly for the family. |
