This Georgian
kitchen features pilasters and traditionally glazed Georgian Doors with an
impressive free standing Pantry Cabinet and kitchen
dresser.
The central island topped with
Nero Absoluto granite incorporates a Brittannia range cooker with deep pan and
utensil drawers either side. An Elica stainless steel island extractor with
glass canopy is positioned above. To the rear of the island is a tall bookcase
finished in oak veneer and is backed with a granite upstand, which creates a
superb splash back for the cooker. A maple butchers block mounted on a purpose
built console with turned legs and slated shelf is perfectly positioned on the
end for vegetable preparation.
A double
french farmhouse sink sits by the window, with it's views over the garden, and
has been partnered with a Perrin & Rowe Ionion mixer tap with porcelain hot
and cold lever handles. A fully-integrated dishwasher and pull-out waste bin
are built-in below the Oak wall-mounted plate rack.
On the wall behind the Island is the grand, freestanding
pantry cabinet, which has a cold granite shelf inside and a combination of
external drawers, pull-out wicker baskets for fruit and vegetables with
beautifully crafted oak trays set either side. The pantry also offers a wine
store as well as adjustable shelves to the main body for dry food storage and
spice shelves fitted to the inside of each door.
While on the opposite wall is the spectacular Oak kitchen
dresser with traditionally crafted Georgian glazed doors. The base offers deep
drawers framed by magnificently turned legs and is finished with a slated
shelf.
With the stainless steel Sub-Zero
Fridge/Freezer integrated into an existing recess within the kitchen, providing
more than enough fridge space for the growing family, the design has achieved a
superb balance between old and new. |
