The kitchen has
been moved from one side of the farmhouse to the other, as this room had the
benefit of stunning views over the Yorkshire hills.
Understanding
exactly what the clients wanted, we set about designing this simple, hand made
shaker kitchen, which has been combined with Corian worktops in the subtle tone
of Canyon, providing the family with the perfect Farmhouse
kitchen.
Along one wall we created a smart bank of storage and
appliances that includes the Four-oven Aga and the tall Siemens larder fridge,
beside which is a large larder providing easily accessible storage. An open
plate rack surrounded by cabinets sits perfectly into the corner and has small
'nick-nack' drawers.
In order to maximise
the storage room available we suggested the magic corner mechanism, which
enables every inch of space to be utilised to store their heavier items in
potentially wasted space.
The scheme
provides a timeless elegance that gives a welcoming and warm feeling to the
room. |
