Fitted Dressing Room in European Oak
After the kitchen, came this
spectacular Oak Dressing Room with fitted wardrobes
There are lots of decisions to be made when building your
own home and as the design for the 'Edwardian Style
kitchen' was now finalised with Matthew James, it was time to move
onto the dressing room.
The layout of this room was chiefly dictated by it's unusal
shape, which incorporated a curved wall on one side and an 'L' shaped with two
windows on the other. It was transformed with these elegant bespoke fitted
wardrobes that gracefully followed the curvature of the room and were lit by
overhead lighting.
We gave Anna a 'His' and 'Hers' list of storage requirements
so she knew exactly what we needed. Using every inch of the room from floor to
ceiling, she created this stunning design and fulfilled our list of storage
requirements to the letter, including long coats and dresses, shirts and ties
and even hat storage.
As the room was tall , she incoporated pull down rails for
the upper hanging rails for easier access, with fixed rails for the lower
level. Dedicated shoe storage was built-in, with pull out shoe drawers and
adjustable shelves for boxed shoes.
Large free standing drawers with
Antique gold Georgian handles, were positioned below one of the windows and
have a lowered set of two drawers to either end to enable us to sit down, while
put on our shoes. |
